My Mission
I formed Tanzosh Family Law LLC in March of 2010 to provide optimal services for clients, after building extensive litigation experience since 1999 and receiving mentoring from the top family law firms in Portland. My proactive and attentive practice style is designed to develop a team approach with each client in reaching the best resolution, whether through compromise or trial, together.
The great Chinese war leader, Sun Tzu, stated in The Art of War, “he who knows when he can fight and when he cannot, will be victorious.” If the other party is not going to be reasonable, there is a judicial system I trust. As to those cases that need a judge or jury to decide, I represent clients in court effectively and with honor.
Litigation has a cost, however, financially and emotionally. As Sun Tzu also states, “the greatest victory is that which requires no battle.” To that end, I extended my practice to handling mediations. Assisting others in resolving controversy, with or without attorneys, requires a complimentary and advanced skill set, especially in family law.
My mission is to attain the best outcome for clients with the least amount of destruction on the family. Uniting litigation and mediation is the way to achieving that goal. Please contact Tanzosh Family Law LLC today.

Mary Stade
The Strength of the Team
Mary Stade brings a unique blend of high-stakes precision and human-centered leadership to Tanzosh Family Law. As a seasoned Family Law Paralegal, Mary is the operational engine behind the scenes, ensuring that every case is handled with the meticulous attention to detail it deserves. Her background in family law gives her a sharp perspective on the complexities of legal transitions and a steady hand when navigating difficult circumstances.
Strategic Leadership, On and Off the Court
Outside of the office, Mary’s life is defined by a different kind of advocacy. Known in the community as “Coach Mary,” she is the Head Coach and Market Owner of the Willamette Valley Jaguars, a professional men’s basketball team. She made history by leading the first all-female coaching staff in men’s professional basketball—a testament to her belief that leadership is about merit, mentorship, and building a culture of mutual respect.
Driven by Community
Whether she is managing a complex legal file or coaching from the sidelines, Mary’s philosophy remains the same: people come first. A “basketball scholar” who studied the game from a young age, she applies that same intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking to her legal work.
A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and a graduate of Western Michigan University, Mary has called Oregon home for decades. When she isn’t at the firm or the arena, she is likely attending local Chamber meetings, advocating for youth mentorship, or enjoying life as a dedicated dog mom.
